Santa Hat Crochet Pattern

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Needed:
size B crochet hook
red worsted weight yarn
white worsted weight yarn
glue/needle and thread

Special stitches: joining in - place slip knot on hook, insert hook
through st, yo, finish st as stated in pattern.

With red...

- ch 4, sl st 1st st to form a loop
- sc 8 into the loop
- sc each st around - 8 sc
- repeat last row - 8 sc
- 2 sc 1st st, sc next st, (2 sc next st, sc next st), repeat 2 more times - 12 sc
- sc each st around - 12 sc
- 2 sc 1st st, sc next st, (2 sc next st, sc next st), repeat 4 more times - 18 sc
-sc each st around, sl st 1st st - 18 sc
- fasten off

With white...

- join in on bottom of hat with a sc, sc each st around - 18 sc
- (sl st 1st st, ch 3, sl st) each st around, sl st 1st st - 18 (sl st, ch 3, sl st)
- fasten off

- ch 4, sl st 1st ch to form a loop
- 8 sc into loop, sl st 1st st - 8 sc
-fasten off
- turn sideways and stitch or glue onto the top of the hat
- add a string or ornament hook and enjoy!

ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
yo – yarn over
st(s) – stitch(es)
