Materials:

Size D crochet hook (3.25mm)
1 skein of sock yarn

Special stitches

Decreased Single Crochet (d.sc) - insert hook through st, yo, pull loop through st, insert hook into next st, yo, pull through st (repeat as many times as pattern calls for), yo, pull through loops on the hook.

Worked in the round, do not ch 1 unless noted. Preemie and 6-12 mo in parenthesis.

Gauge: 6 sc = 1 inch, 6 sc rows = 1 inch

Toe
ch 6
- sc 2nd st from hook, sc next 4 sts, ch 1, sc 5 along backside of ch, ch 1 – 10 sc
- sc 1st 5 sts, 2 sc in ch 1 space, sc next 5 sts, 2 sc in ch 1 space – 14 sc
- (2 sc next st, sc nxt st), repeat 6 more times – 21 sc
- sc each st around - 21 sc
- repeat last row 8 (6,10) times - 21 sc

Heel
- sc 2, ch 1, tn – 2 sc
- sc 11, ch 1, tn - 11 sc
- Repeat last row 4 (2,6) times, ch 1, tn - 11 sc
- d.sc 1st 2 st tog, sc 7, d.sc lst 2 st tog, ch 1, tn – 9 sc
- d.sc 1st 2 st tog, sc 5, d.sc lst 2 st tog, ch 1, tn – 7 sc

Heel Flap
- (mark 1st st with stitch marker) sc 7, sc 7 evenly along side edge, sc 10 along front, sc 7 evenly up other side of bootie – 31 sc
- sc 1st 2 sts, d.sc next 3 sts tog, sc next 10 sts, (d.sc next 2 sts tog), repeat 3 times, sc next 8 sts - 25 sc
- sc 1st 3 sts, d.sc next 2 sts tog, sc next 10 sts, d.sc next 3 sts tog, sc next 7 sts - 22 sc

Cuff
- sc each st around – 22 sc
- repeat last row 6(4,8) or to desired length - 22 sc
Fasten off
