When I'm Sixty Four

It was quite the week here! After finally recovering from my craft show fatigue, I have been trying to figure out what I'm doing. Ha. Apparently I'm a bit scattered.

I did finish up (mostly... see the eyeball strings still hanging out) these last 3 monster cozies. They will be joining their other monster cozy pals on a journey up to Karmabee, in Kingston NY. I also FINALLY finished up the crocheted portion of this Yoda hat. Wait, you're still not done with those hats? No. Don't judge me. I'm starting the graph for the Superman emblem today.

My garden has taken quite the hit this week with the daily dose of monsoon. My roses are blooming somehow... even if all of their leaves are suffering from spotitis (I just made that up). They're so pretty though. I'm practicing puttering around my house these days... for when I'm sixty four.

I've also been learning Hey Jude on my ukulele, so I have The Beatles on the brain. I can just about play it, I'm learning the words, and there's a massive train wreck every time I try to play and sing at the same time. I'm loving it.

Fiber Arts Friday again!!! Head on over to Wisdom Begins in Wonder for more fiber fun!

  1. Yeah the Beatles. May I say THANKS A LOT FOR THE EARWORM. When I'm 64 is only one my favorites...and I'll have it stuck in there all damned day. (That pug is ridiculously cute.)

    1. I was just humming it to myself also... might have to pull out the songbook and see if I can learn it on the uke.

  2. I actually got Hey Jude as my ear worm. Which I'm totally fine with. Good luck with your playing!

  3. Just remember that when we're scattered, the possibility exists that we will 'put ourselves together' in a whole new way and inspiration will follow. Enjoy your puttering! XXO-

  4. Well decorated blocking board there :-) Love the picture of Aggie, I bet the creative juice pumps up just by looking at his face.

  5. Yeah, you know that song is now in my head ... with uke accompaniment. :)

I'm with Vivian, that pic of Aggie is too darn cute.

  7. How did the show go? Did I miss that post? I am so sick of the new blogger post updates and I miss some now. I love the yoda hat. I still need to knit one. Those eyeball monster kozies are awesome!
