Today is a monster making day. Then some quick yoga (
This video... still sore from snowboarding on Saturday.), and then back to the monsters. I'd like to have 3 finished and be calm at the same time. This is a challenge with Dr. Destructo lately.

We also made playdough. Dr. Destructo needs a little more structure in his day. (This was apparent yesterday... I swear he grew little horns.) New start, new day, new ideas. Mom and child need to be happy through most of the day. TV off,
Children's Indie Radio on.

This was the recipe I used from
Instructables. Her tutorial is fantastic, so please follow it.
2 C. Flour
2 C. Warm water
1 C. Salt
2 Tbs. Vegetable oil
1 Tbs. Cream of tartar
Food coloring
3 drops Lavender essential oil (my choosing)
|
mix everything but color and oil and then stir on low heat |
|
once it starts to pull away from the sides and starts looking like mashed potatoes it's done |
|
dr. destructo... not helping |
|
added the oil to help soothe and calm dr. destructo |

success! |
Aw, I miss homemade play dough. My kids are at the stage where they are too big to enjoy it but not old enough to miss the enjoyment of it.
