Not much fiber fun to report, sadly... even more sad if you were hoping this post had rollerskating monsters in it... It doesn't. This week kind of flew by. There are a few monsters to check out though, just not on rollerskates.
This is an ornament that is being shipped off to my secret ornament swap buddy. This is the 2nd one being shipped off. Apparently I love ornament swaps.
There was rollerskating involved though. It was SWEET! This is the kiddo getting used to actually rollerskating without hugging the wall. He's like, "It's okay, Mom. You can go skate. I've got this." ♥♥♥ then he sang all the words to Journey's (ahem, barf, but musically and secretly amazing) "Don't Stop Believing". Yeah, we're raising them right over here.
I finished up some monsters and more ornaments. I have a craft show coming up on the 21st... so I want to get my ornament and keychain inventory up. That's all I'm bringing to the show. No dolls this time. Boo!
Aside from that, I've been writing my novel... which I am apparently supposed to finish by the end of the month for National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo. I probably won't finish by then or even have close to the 50,000 (not a made up number by me this time...) words needed to "win", but that's cool. I'm writing, and that in itself is good. Plus, "Staple Gun Massacre" is finally being put down as words. I'm actually writing most of it in a journal and then typing it up later on. Hand cramp, much?
And that's about it.... I'd like to get some knitting in this weekend, as I haven't for the past 2 weekends. We'll see. I might just hang out with the family.
Since it's Fiber Arts Friday, head on over to Wisdom Begins In Wonder to see other amazing fiber arts posts. You will probably learn something new too!
lol. You crack me up... Staple Gun Masacre... Don't Stop Believing... screaming monsters. Sounds like a great week. :-)
ReplyDeleteRollerskates or not, I love your monsters!
ReplyDeleteI second Kathryn. You are a riot! Of course, now I will have Don't Stop Believin in my head the rest of the night.
ReplyDeleteHow are the shows for you? Can you work a normal craft show and make good money or is price point a factor? I've been asked to be in some because I bring something new but...no one would buy from me because my items are much higher in price than most knitted goods.
Argh! I love your keychains and dolls so I was curios. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
Cute little monsters, roller skating and otherwise, good luck at the craft show, much success!
ReplyDeleteyour ornaments are great-beyond cute
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Sorry to get that one stuck in your heads... happens to me all the time.
ReplyDelete@andrea - the only reason I'm doing this show is because all I'm bringing are the ornaments and keychains, which have a low price point... and do well. My dolls are always marveled at while at shows, but never sell. They're too expensive. That, and people just don't get art around here. It's all about cash... which is kind of sad.
Thanks for checking the post out guys. I really love the feedback!
