Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Anyone remember that cartoon? And if you do, remember the annoying theme song? Well... it's been stuck in my head on and off for about a week, so I thought I would share that little ear worm. I know. You're welcome.

There was monster cozy making... well finishing. Surprisingly (dripping sarcasm), I haven't grown fond of hand sewing. Hmm... I wonder why the constant threat of stabbing myself in the eye with the giant tapestry needle hasn't grown on me. Odd.

they're watching you

We had a crop bonanza of awesome. This summer has been very good to us, and all our hard work is starting to show. I'm currently canning tomatoes and making zucchini bread. I don't have enough cucumbers yet for pickles... apparently 4 lbs. isn't enough. I need 10 lbs., according to my canning book.

The Hudson Valley Etsy Team had a little bit of a picnic on Sunday. It was beautiful thanks to the breeze generated by the upcoming thunderstorms. We left just in time to not get wet. Bonus.

There was also monster finishing thrown in. I didn't get a chance to get the eyeballs sewn on and the monsters stuffed on Friday. I added the finishing touches and got to start a new, top-secret project. I would tell you, but it's a secret.

    1. Well, let's see if it comes out gross first. :) My baking skills can be hit or miss. I'm pretty sure you could end up with a loaf without a problem. I just picked 3 more giant zucchinis. I should have enough to last throughout the winter.
