Begonias and Yarn are My Happy Thoughts...

Just like in Peter Pan... except without the flying and Neverland and whatnot.

Yarn is one of the simple , happy inducing things in my day.  I'm picking it up pretty much as much as humanly possible, while still managing the plethora of other things on my to do list (which I keep in this awesome planner that I bought recently)... I'm managing to keep on a sort of schedule of creating.  This is where I'm at (happily) today.

This is my latest doll for kids.  It's a fish, in case you couldn't tell.  I still have to make the eyes and then stuff and assemble it.  I love it.  He's on the list to be finished today.  Cross your fingers!

Yesterday I added this head portion to my Tentacle Ballet Monster doll...  I'd like to start a tentacle or two on her.... supposedly to be completed by Sunday.  I'm not sure that's going to happen, but I'm gonna give it the college try.  (Is that even a real saying, or did I just make it up?)  You can see all of the progress shots (Yeah there's only 3 so far...) on Ravelry though.  She'll hopefully be as cool as the original sketch.

Also my Grandpa Plant (Begonia) is starting to bloom.  This makes me happy too, because I have awesome memories of Grandpa.  This is like the  family plant that all the clippings came from plants that were ultimately clipped from Grandma Jesse... I think.  I don't remember Grandma Jesse (great grandmother) and I got my clipping directly off of Grandpa's plant, so I'm going to keep calling it my Grandpa Plant.

  1. I think it's great that you're on a crafting schedule. The fish look like they'll be terrific when complete!

  2. Well... the crafting schedule is a work in progress, but it's the effort that counts, right?
