I found this on Pinterest this morning, and thought it was a good fit for how I should be. (I repinned it to my inspiration board... which I should visit more often.) Also, love me some Neil Patrick Harris.
I also spent some time on the phone with a company who's name rhymes with Beers... After waiting 2 weeks for my dryer to be fixed for the 4th time ( I won't go into the rest of that nightmare...), they never showed on Saturday... or called. Then when I called this morning to find out why, I learned that I had been rescheduled for the 26th (2+ more weeks) between 1 pm and 5 pm. Swell. Instead of being upset, I'm going to be awesome... even though it's not right to treat your customers like doodie when all that customer wants is for their dryer (which they paid good money for) to work properly and to be treated with common courtesy when a repairman fails to do his job and even show up... So awesome
*Edited* Just wanted to add that this particular company's social networking (aka Twitter) section is full of rock stars. I just got a call, and the repair man will be here tomorrow to fix my dryer. Just like that... :)
I also just realized that I didn't blog about the Tentacle Ballet Monster yet. I'm a slacker at times... Well, I finished her (so slow to make this doll)! She currently for sale. (You can see all of the progress pictures too... they're up on Ravelry and Flickr.) Tentacle Ballet Monster just wants to do two things... dance the ballet (Carmen is her favorite) and be free to swim about. She'd like to be the next breakout star of the synchronized swimming scene.
