Schmancy Olympic Challenge Piece & Kitten Mittens

So I had to make up my own Olympic sport for this particular challenge.  You can read all the details of what this challenge was about by going to Plush You.  I also managed to capture all of the in progress pictures, which are on my Flickr.  Here's what I came up with:

"Maniacal Moose Wrestling – In the backwoods of Canada, there was a hidden radiation spring that innocent young moose stumbled upon. They mutated into maniacal wrestling moose. The locals found them wandering around the woods trying to wrestle each other and trees… lost without a direction in their young moose lives. Instead of locking them up, they have been given a new start in this newly formed Olympic Sport. Wrestlers must wrangle with a moose in the snow until one of the opponents submits by tapping out or is pinned for a count of 3."

Now if you couldn't tell, I'm a crazy wrestling fan.  I've been following the WWE ever since I was... like 6.  This particular piece was inspired by Chris Jericho, and this is his submission move, The Walls of Jericho.  And it is awesome.

I was also sent an email where someone was asking if I could make up a pattern for the kitten mittens that I had made up as a custom order.  I figured that would be a great idea, so I wrote up the pattern.  They came out adorable and fun and I'm never making another pair of kitten mittens again.  But you can for your crocheting convenience.  You can get your very own copy off of this blog (look right), Etsy, & Ravelry
