I'm working on a new design for my smaller items' packaging. I was using poly-bags. I have run out. I will not be buying more. I was cutting up my old plastic bags from purchases that I have made. I will not be doing this either, as the tape needed made recycling hard to impossible. I have decided to use paper. Paper is recyclable and biodegradable.

new way with recycled magazine paper |
This is what I came up with. No scissors or plastic tape needed. The sticker circles come off easily and are made of recycled paper themselves. I hope to purchase a stamp so I can add my logo and website with plant based inks. Good plan, no? Knot By Gran'ma is slowly becoming more earth friendly. Once I run out of shipping envelopes, I suspect that I'll be making my own recycled ones also. Let's start here though. :)

What do you think? Do you want to see a little tutorial on how I folded the paper to make these?
They are much prettier, too!
ReplyDeleteEach one is a little bit of a surprise, as I'm trying to find the pages with mostly pictures.
DeleteInteresting! I like the green aspect and I'm sure its more cost-effective!
ReplyDeleteThe only downfall is the time it takes. Thanks!
