They opened a Hobby Lobby near my house. Apparently a year ago. I've never been in such a wonderful place. It's no local yarn shop, but in a pinch, or if I need any craft supply on the planet.... YEAH! So I just thought I'd share that with you.
This was my score. The blue Red Heart's going towards the Jack Frost doll. The Sugar and Cream is for my jellyfish army... you know, the one I mentioned yesterday. I forgot to get Grey too, but I'm blaming the lack of remembering on the snotting Dr. Destructo Toddler (I know I've been saying baby, but he's not a baby anymore... he's too damn smart for that baby schtuff.) who was freaking out in the cart... all because I wasn't letting him hold the yarn. You know he would have promptly made yarn barf. That's what kiddos do.
I guess now I have a reason to go back.
I also did a horrible sketch for my new doll... He's my interpretation of Jack Frost. This is for the Art Dolls Only December MMC. He's so poorly drawn, and I stood in my own light... sorry. He'll be very cool once I actually crochet him up. In this sketch, he reminds me of a Blue Meanie. This will not be the case once he's done... not that there's anything wrong with Blue Meanies.
I think it's a great sketch!! I love stuff like that. You should make a childrens book about the monsters you've made. I know I'd read it to my destructive toddlers hahaha!
